Pavilion Yoga + Cutting Edge
Teachers from the British Wheel of Yoga will lead a practice designed to stretch, strengthen and energise you.
Each session in The Colour Palace will focus on a specific theme reflecting the summer programme and the Pavilion structure.
Sunday 7 July – Instructor Michele Misgalla
Michelle has been teaching yoga for over 20 years. Her Hatha Yoga classes begin with basic breathing to settle in and release the body and mind, leading to stretching and strengthening to prepare key muscles and joints for the main postures. A guided relaxation to refresh and rejuvenate rounds off the practice.
Sunday 11 August – Instructor Ella Holguin
Ella is mostly influenced by the foundations of B.K.S Iyengar’s teachings and is also inspired by teachers such as Rod Stryker, Donna Farhi and Sarah Powers. This is reflected in her teaching which draws on Hatha Yoga style with an emphasis on harmonising and balancing energy for both mind and body.
Sunday 1 September – Instructor Alonzo Seixas
Having discovered yoga in Rio in the eighties, Alonzo’s method and ethos is to promote well-being through Hatha Yoga practice, supported by instruction about the philosophical and subtle aspects of this wonderful, ancient technique of self-refinement and cultivation.
Suitable for all levels except complete beginners. Please pre-book and bring your own yoga mat if you have one, all other yoga props provided.
Includes yoga session, entry to the gallery and a free tea or coffee from the Gallery Café.
