Ribera: Art of Violence is the first UK show of work by the Spanish Baroque painter, draughtsman and printmaker, Jusepe de Ribera (1591–1652), displaying his most sensational and masterfully composed works.
Our first show of 2019 will showcase the beautiful landscapes of the Norwegian artist, Harald Sohlberg (1869 – 1935), arguably one of Norway's greatest masters of landscape painting. Timed to coincide with the 150th anniversary of Sohlberg’s birth it will be the first major show of his work outside of Norway.
The Gallery houses a collection of over 600 works rich in European masterpieces including Rembrandt, Gainsborough, Canaletto and Poussin.
