Wild Life Drawing with Miniature Pigs
What better way to spend a Sunday than making friends with a couple of adorable miniature pigs?
Join us for a fun-filled drawing class where we will be busting some myths about this wonderful species. Often portrayed as stupid and smelly, pigs are in fact very clean, and highly intelligent. They are emotional creatures that form close bonds, love to explore, and are great problem solvers. As well as drawing, there will be plenty of opportunities for cuddles and belly scratches, and to give the piggies a brush – their favourite thing in the world!
We will be joined by the team at Kew Little Pigs who will be bringing along a couple of their finest and friendliest piggies. The class will be led by wildlife illustrator Jennie Webber, who will get you started with her top tips for drawing moving 'models'. Throughout the session, Jennie will be on hand with as much creative guidance as you’d like, and the Kew Little Pigs team will be all ears for your piggy ponderings. The class is open to everyone, all abilities are welcome and all artistic styles are celebrated! We will provide everything you need to get sketching - drawing boards, paper and a wide range of materials- but feel free to bring along your own kit if you’d like.
