The Infants Christ and Saint John the Baptist

This picture is the best of Cartwirght's Van Dyck copies. The original at Lamport has been dated c.1638-40. Several other versions are recorded, including a picture in Sir Peter Lely's collection. A version in the Royal Collection, acquired c.1666-67, shows several minor differences from the Lamport and Dulwich pictures.
