Artist Drawing

Attributed to Salvator Rosa until 1880, when Richter gave the picture to the late 16th-century Venetian school. The artist responsible for DPG295 seems, however, to have been familiar with the style of the Bolognese painter Giovanni Antonio Burrini (1656-1727).
