Khadambi Asalache House

Inside 575 Wandsworth Road, Khadambi Asalache’s utterly unique and beautiful work of interior design mixes Islamic, English and African influences. Asalache was the son of a Kenyan chieftain who trained as an architect, became a poet and worked as a civil servant in the Treasury. On his death in 2006, he left his house to the National Trust.

Meet at 575 Wandsworth Road, Lambeth, London, SW8 3JD.
The venue is not wheelchair accessible and has no toilet facilities. Please bring socks or slippers to wear inside.
Due to the size of the house, we present three tours, each limited to 6 people.
