Magnard Ensemble
An interesting and varied programme featuring pieces from Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess to Bach is designed to appeal to all ages and tastes, and includes some more modern works by Paul Patterson to close the evening.
The lively and engaging Magnard Ensemble wind quintet, founded in 2012, are the current selected artists for the Tillett Trust Young Artist Platform, Tunnell Trust and CAVATINA Chamber Music Trust. They made their international debut at the KKL Lucerne, Switzerland in January 2017, have delivered concerts and workshops at festivals and prestigious venues across the country and recently received a four-star review from BBC Music Magazine for their debut CD Revolting Rhymes and Marvellous Music.
