With Martha Spurrier
With political turbulence, globalisation, deepening inequality and corporate dominance, how do we build a society that has equality, freedom and justice at its heart? In this talk Martha Spurrier, human rights barrister at Liberty, considers how rights, accountability and liberty can thrive in modern democracies.
Martha specialised in defending access to justice, challenging state failures and fighting for the rights of women, children and disabled people. She has written books about human rights, policing and disability rights, is a trustee of Medical Justice and is a visiting professor at Goldsmiths.
