Drawing on his extensive knowledge gained as a writer and Managing Director of the Barbican Centre, Sir Nicholas Kenyon will take his audience through music’s past, and offer some insightful views on its future.
About the speaker: Sir Nicholas Kenyon CBE
Sir Nicholas Kenyon has been Managing Director of the Barbican Centre since 2007, following roles as Controller of BBC Radio 3 (1992-8), and Director of the BBC Proms (1996-2007). In addition to being a music critic for The New Yorker, The Times and Observer, as well as editor of Early Music (1983-92), Sir Nicholas Kenyon has lectured widely and published books on Bach, Mozart, Simon Rattle, the BBC Symphony Orchestra and early music.
