Religion in the Desert

A white-robed figure, appreantly a Dominican nun, with a chalice and a crown of thorns by her side. Inventoried in 1813 as 'Female, laying on the seashore. Stormy sky', but catalogued since 1824 under the present title. Damaged by bombs in 1944.
