Stanislaus II Augustus, King of Poland

Stanislaw Antoni Poniatowski (1732-98); elected Stanislaus II Augustus, King of Poland, 1764; abdicated on the partition of Poland, 1795. An important part of the collection now at Dulwich was acquired by Noel Desenfans on his behalf, but remained undelivered at the time of his abdication. DPG490 is a half-length copy from Bacciarelli's three-quarter-length portrait in the National Museum, Kraków.
